Youth Education

Proverbs 22:6 tells us to “train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Our children’s ministry runs from infants, through high school, with an awesome youth group! Our SFC Children’s and Youth Ministry Mission and goal is to model, lead, and teach our kids to have a healthy fear of God and to love and respect Him and each other.

Sunday School during Sunday Service 11-11:45 am. Nursery and Kingdom Kids for K-5th grade.

Amy Pendergrass

Children’s Education Director

Hello my name is Amy Pendergrass! I am currently the Children’s Education Director. I am married to a wonderful man and we have three beautiful daughters. Our family has attended SFC since the spring of 2002. I am originally from Florida, where I met my husband. He is from this part of Ohio and brought me here in 1999. I now consider myself an Ohioan! I went to Samford University in Alabama and received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I am currently working on my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Malone University. As you can read from my undergrad degree, I have had an interest in pouring into young people for some time now. I don’t remember exactly when the Lord put kid’s ministry on my heart, but it’s been an interest of mine for quite some time. Kids are so much fun!

We are Keith and Vickie Sayre and have attended SFC for about 5 years. We grew up in the area and attended Atwater Christian School. We love God’s Word and want to share all of the interesting stories and wisdom it has for us in our daily lives.
